Ansel Adams had to make one of these.  He is probably one of the most influential photographers ever.  I don’t think you could find any photographer that isn’t influenced by what he took, and the way he worked.

ansel-adams-landscape-photography-mount-williamson-1944I think for me, one of the things that I find inspiring is that he took photos mostly of what he knew.  I often wonder if I need to travel around the world to be a great photographer, or can I do it in my neck of the woods.  I want to be able to do it here and for me Ansel makes that possible.  Photograph…

“Beach Art” By JT

I know you have probably seen the shells that sit along the high tide mark but do you know about Border Collie Art?

She is so well-bred that she leaves an amazing piece of artwork, all along the beach,  as we make or way onto it

for a game of Frisbee.

Can you see her moves up above?

On and on she goes

Round and Round

Catching it

Dropping it at my feet and heading back out for another loop to get ready to catch it again.

I know some of you may tire of my talk about this pup but she really is what keeps us smiling day in and day out pain and all.

She is a beautiful artist,  well at least in our eyes.

Other dogs just come to PLAY she seems to have a method to her madness as do I.

No Matter The Weather

100_2747

I throw shoes on to feed the birds first thing in the morning if it is really cold barefoot the rest of the time.

So bird feeders full but JT has other things on her mind a little kick ball yes in snow while wearing Flip Flops that were a  gift  from Maryland,  lol100_2748

She is Black and White  and the Snow is White so  WHY NOT

100_2749

Another shot of JT playing on the icy mix in backyard with me kicking it and her pushing it back !

I love watching her play no matter how cold or warm it may be.

It was nice to get away for a few hours to enjoy the coast.

We came back tired and wet and Ouch did I say hurting too.

It is hard for me to pick just one spot in Maine that I love the most.

This time I made the photos Black & White for YOU

Needing Equal Time

Just another shot of our cat.

Yes I was playing with this print as well.

It’s not your eyes lol

She is 12 and so smart.

The best part about her is she loves us as much as we love her

Worst part she insists on leaving all kills under MY CHAIR

Our home and yard are so big for just one kitty but after her twin

went missing  these two pets will be my last.

I will work at shelters finding great homes for others in need.

Today though with both at me feet, I will just LOVE them.

Bored and playing around tonight

Have a great night

A FAT LITTLE PINE TREE

Fat Little Christmas Tree

Fat Little Tree

As I walk along this road I pass this fat little tree

I think it is so beautifully natural

Not a perfect shape but so very healthy siting there posing for me

Who else will see this beautiful tree sitting alone along the road

It is surrounded by wildflowers to keep it company but I want it to have more.

The fact that this is a  real Christmas Tree

Like the ones we decorate here each year

I want it to have a STAR up upon the tippy top

I shall see if I can fit a trip in before snows would prevent me from getting to the top of this path

I will gather  natural materials to make it with

I think I will add things for the birds to eat

This little star will keep them fed and warm maybe for a night or three

I hope the storms are kind this winter

For when spring comes I will once again walk to the top

To see this Fat Little Pine Tree

With maybe a little less of me

Peace & Love

To each of you

Walking it off

Walk Back

I huff and puff all the way to the top

I stay as focused as my pup

When we reach the top I let her play as we catch our breath

It does feel good to push through the pain

Down 65 total so far

Boy what a mess I had gotten myself into

There is still ups and downs with pain

I have the diet down pat

If you can’t do anything it takes longer to see results

So I will push when I can rest when I can’t

It took 10 years to put it on

So if it is all gone in 3

I will be so pleased

Keep on keeping on what ever battle you face down the road

I know the wreck started this

I was not to blame but in the end I only

Punished

We went for a hike while camping for the week
