me 2016

Now to learn to smile for photos🙂

This one I just messed with.

I had so much fun selling in Dover NH with a pop up gallery Myrtle Street Gallery
in downtown Dover NH in front of The Chop House!
I also showed my Watercolors off and made more sales in Maine at a Yard Sale and since most shop for Antiques there it felt good.

Mom is hanging in there but hate that her days are numbered I guess all of us are going to be there sooner or later I am just praying she will not suffer horribly.

Happy September to all of you who were wanting cooler temps.  For you who will just be receiving summer I hope it was a nice as mine was.

Fall colors will fill my world then dreadful snow.

Have a wonderful day!

The Season Will End Soon

WP_20160815_10_10_11_Pro
The season will end soon enough for these beauties as the drought has been rough on the land and my well.

Mom started Chemo yesterday so far so good but I am just trying to keep the faith.

I was invited to show my Watercolors last Wednesday in Dover NH and will again this Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Myrtle Street Gallery on the sidewalk outside of the Chop House come by if you are in the area.  Mine is a starving artist sale very inexpensive art so I can continue to paint.

My town celebrated it’s 275th Birthday with a day long celebration so much fun after working on committee for almost 2 years.

We even ended the night with our very own Fireworks show.

I am joining a friend on Tuesday and we will paint our dogs well I should say attempt to results here if it looks something like JT.

Hope you are all doing OK I will see if I can find you on my WP Reader.

Good night

WP_20160717_12_33_09_Pro

The garden measures about 16′ X 24′ I have flowers mingled inside with all the veggies as well.  Bring the birds, bees, dragonflies and butterflies to eat the bugs and pollinate was my plan.

I forage for greens each morning with my coffee and JT she is never far from me.  I go back out again to get things for my dinner though I better start adding chicken or eggs to my salad or I will loose all my muscles, which I will need come the end of the season, to put this place to bed.

WP_20160717_11_47_20_Pro__highres

Radishes, Summer Squash, Zucchini and Sugar Snap Peas with Raspberries were my fixings that went in with my Rainbow Swiss Chard and Spinach Salad.  We are in a drought here but that soil I bought is amazing just the perfect amount of compost makes all the difference.  It is light and fluffy still.  I wish I had grown one of everything.  I have beets, carrots, string beans, corn and spaghetti squash yet to show up but they are growing like mad.

Always have extra help when I go inside the gate.

I have been painting a bit too, here is one of the last three I have been working on.

We got heavy rain for a bit tonight it was glorious and the earth soaked it right up.

Hope you are all having a wonderful and safe week, this world we live in is going crazy so glad  I have these things to keep me away from TV and more bad news.  Pray for Peace on our beautiful earth xo

I Finally Set Up An Etsy Store

I will now be offering all my Original Watercolors for sale.
They will come unmatted  and with no frame for you to finish them just the way you like.
I am not asking what others do for their work because I do not need to.
If you like one enough to purchase I will get it out into the mail asap.  I will also offer free shipping within the USA.  After a few pieces get shipped Internationally I will get a better idea on what costs are.  If you have an Etsy store let me know so I can follow you.

I set it up last night and just have to pieces there but I will add all others in time.  They are pieces of me I hate to keep in a dark bag never seeing the light of day.  I love creating so the store will be tough as all my others I have do everything for you.  Prints from Original Artwork will be available at my other shops but this one is for Signed Originals.  I may if time permits sell a few baby items there as well as custom jewelry but that will be once the Watercolors are uploaded onto the site.  Thanks for always cheering me on you are such a great support group.

Happy Mother’s Day

P1010020.JPG

Our area went from warm and wonderful to rainy and raw day after day but with Alberta CA sections burning up as well as other places here and abroad I have very little really to complain about.

This is my Bleeding Heart that sits facing the east in my yard wonder if she would like just a tad more light.🙂  I know I would

I have still been at it with Watercolors but not at such a breakneck speed now I think and mix color with clear intent and try to catch a couple of lessons a month but with art gallery having their grand opening and a few shows I entered in their Theme Show format I am doing a little more photography infact joined a meetup group right above studio to join in on some challenges as it is a low key group that seems willing to share ideas on sharing your shot in a better light as well as places to meet up and shoot like they just had a meetup at a Steampunk gathering.  I have not done any of that yet but just entered my 3 shots for this month “Body Parts”  I will not bore you with photos but will tell you I had one of my bare foot in the freshly tilled soil of my organic garden yes my feet were clean but frozen by the time I was done working, JT my Border Collie most of you know from photos and stories of course had a spot this time a close of her beautiful eye how I love this dog now turning a year older today I swear I do not know where the time went.  The third shot I took was of my boyfriends 1950’s truck then I did some wild processing on photo just so they would be all different and not boring like my Birthday ride oceans scenes I shared with them last month for “Power”  has the sea has a hold on me, that lighthouse will be above where my ashes are spread and the force of a wave is anything but weak but you know where my head is at most days.

I will try to get more photography printed and hung in local shows and online they sell well enough to pay for my painting supplies so others must like the plain simple beauty of what is.

Hope you are all doing OK I am off to read some of your blogs have a wonderful week!

OH I forgot I took a night with a friend and tried Acrylic photo latter

Thankful For This Unusual Winter

Wow what a difference a year makes and in so many ways!

There is very little snow on the ground yes I know it can still just be a tad late but I personally am through the worst part of winter, with spring arriving in what, just 4 weeks!  I am dancing even with sore knees.  lol Not so sore I took a shot in each and it helped a lot and will give me time to get my pup cared for and guess what Mom’s surgery on left knee was such a success she is being allowed back home early!  Wow see what I mean about being thankful.  So many prayers said and great thoughts and energy how could she suffer again.  Thanks so much.

Our garden club will attend the Boston Flower Show next month so heads up there maybe flower photos soon lol  We are now taking orders for Pansy Bowls at just $15 for a full 12/14″ bowl brimming with pretty little flower faces I can not wait for mine to greet me each day as I arrive home.  Maybe I will try to paint them🙂

Having Mom be in a better place my man doing OK with his pacemaker and my knees not hurting so bad now to get my pup feeling better all will be right in my small world.

Not sure about my reader so many I left a like on today I had not seen forever and ones I usually see were missing😦  I will keep searching till I find you🙂

I am going to try to add this video here not sure if the video will work🙂

Just a moment in my world lol

I made an attempt at getting comfortable at a gallery I belong to and attended a Feb. 14 Art Party where I had a Black and White Pen and Ink / Watercolor hanging as well as Wolf Moon on a special wall our local Watercolor teacher invited her students to show thire piece of winter watercolor.  I actually unwound and had fun🙂

DSC_0861
before it got crowded🙂

I have even been crocheting again

WP_20160207_17_02_08_Pro

This is for my son’s old girlfriend who got married and is having her first baby.  I had so much fun as I had never done any of this type of crocheting before🙂  yes indeed learning so much than I ever thought I could.

Have a Great Day you can see I have every intent too🙂

Two Watercolors Hanging

I have added not one but two Watercolors I did to the local Gallery here in Exeter NH that I belong to.  Seacoast Artist Association which sits at the end of Swasy Park, downtown.

I have been creating so much art it is crazy but I must not complain as it is good for me to chill with wet paper and my brushes.  Working on new website as well in my free time🙂  http://eunice356.wix.com/artist-painter

Mom had her 5th surgery on her knees yes we have but two so 4 on the right and hopefully the only one just done on her left.  I got bad news last week as well seems all the pain in my own knees while caring for her was not just what I was doing I need two knee replacements and I am not 60 for 2 more weeks😦  Guess I beat the hell out of them jumping out of my rig and with DNA seems it was bound to happen.  The dog needs surgery as well so after Mom then her then it will be spring and I will do at least one of mine and heal out in the sun here.

In a few weeks the garden club I am in will attend the Boston Flower Show now if you have been following me for even a little while you know I can not wait though winter so far here in New England has been OK🙂  some snow and this weekend brutal outside with dangerous windchills but sunny.

Happy Valentines Day Everyone
Stay Safe too!purple trees

but WP not letting me LIKE your posts but will let me comment odd very odd anyone know what I maybe doing wrong?

Mom is now 80.  She made it!  We all had had our doubts after this long year of medical woes.  We took her out to a wonderful place in Salem NH called the Tuscan Kitchen where we all made wonderful food choices and loved them all.  They have more openings happening so if you live near one, pop in!  Check them out online too  maybe just to drool lol I had a half order of 2 different pasta plates one made with butternut squash the other wild mushrooms I was a very happy girl.

So to catch you up even more with this horrific year of failed surgeries and all we did to keep mom safe, I still have no gray hairs as I approach 60 in March, so in a week I will donate my, now very long hair, to Locks for Love.  I will go very drastic with either a Pixie, Bob or Stacked Bob hmmmm maybe a Shag.  Out with the old in with the new lol I am excited!

I still paint but not as I once did.  I have been busy around here(home) what with my man building a race care for my friend, well just the metal parts within to keep him safe, out on the quarter mile track at over 150 mph.  I want to take just one run🙂
I worked this summer with a few of the Garden club members on our local plantings adding Roses and Ornamental Grasses to each planting so they will be less care in the future. I did very little here but mow since we had dry conditions for most of the growing season.

We did take a ride to see Fall Color in Vermont.  It was a 400 mile trip that it took days for us to recover from but I want to see my country again so I better work back up to sitting with bent knees a little more so I do not end up like mom.

Hoping I can catch up on your blogs and leave a like if not I will see if I can leave a comment and even get yours.

Here is a few shots I still have on my computer to share.

Checking In

Some Down Time Needed

Some Down Time Needed

It is Saturday morning and time for some coffee and run through my blog roll and to let you know life’s twists and turns are still happening but trying to find silver linings all the same.

Mom’s surgery to fuse her leg will be next Wednesday from what she told me about her meeting with surgeon it will be 3 to 4 hours under sedation as they place a rod from her hip down the leg to her ankle wonder how they will account for the inches in height each year :(  yes I am always left with these type of questions as it is my brother and sister in law that are handling all of moms affairs. I had no car for 2 years so hard to take her to and from constant appointments.

I had a shocking call as well just before the fourth seems I have not heard from my stepson for 2 years and in that time he was addicted to Heroin.  What happened to meting friends for some pizza and beer😦 the call I received was to let me know he had overdosed and was gone.  Just 42.  Kind of old I thought for such heavy drug use but seems it is all the rage which yes which has me enraged at societies who do nothing to stop the influx of poison on it’s people sort of as if they have the opposite plan :(  He was laid to rest two days ago no longer will he suffer with feeling so useless and lost that a drug of this caliber could make him feel whole. RIP Jimmy how I wish you were still a little boy.

I still take photos and paint but with all that has been going on it has become somewhat forced as a way to walk away and chill.  I like when it is fun and this has not been a god run on fun.

I did enter 2 of my Watercolors in a Themed Art Show “Coastal  New England” at Seacoast Art Association just to try one out :)  I would rather sell each piece for $45.00 and let the buyer mat and frame to their liking.  They will hang till Aug.1st with an Artist Reception on Friday,  the 17th though not sure how my mom will come through surgery so I will not plan on attending unless all goes well.

Hope you are all doing better than me man has it been a rough stretch.

Stay safe and see you soon!

We Got Away For The Day

JT with us at NUBBLE in Maine

JT with us at NUBBLE in Maine

Waiting on Mom’s fourth knee surgery appointment to be set up, so while my brother and sister in law took her to doctor appointments in Boston we set off in search of used picture frames, for my first public(besides all of you lol) Art Show.  I did not find what I wanted so today and tomorrow I will search and then buy new if need be.  I must drop the 2 of them off by next Saturday.  I will take a photo of them up with all of the other artists entries in this themed show New England Coast.

Have a great weekend and Happy Father’s Day to all the Daddy’s out there.

I Still Try To Unwind

With all the medical stuff going on with all of those I love, I still try to unwind.   Sometimes just getting caught up on the happenings within Facebook and other times I push Mom outside to sit in the sun and throw a toy to JT.  She hurt herself bad and hobbled for 3 weeks.  She is a little better today and with rain coming tonight and into tomorrow I may take her to sit with my Mom all day unless my honey is doing something a lot more fun and she will stay with him.

I do bring my paints in car daily and sometimes the stress I feel has me going out to the car and bringing them in and painting while I watch my mother sleep.  She will be eighty this fall and did her first Watercolor with me last week.  I think she had fun.

I will show you a few of my recent ones and maybe a few photos too I will have to see what is still on my computer to share.

Miss you all

Ok that is it from here for now.

Take care of yourselves.

I have been going back and forth to Boston suburbs to visit my mom and when I come home to the snow and a hungry man and cat and dog I am tired.  Sometimes I paint a small piece to chill/unwind and de-stress all the worry within as mom doesn’t seem to be moving towards going home which saddens me.

I continue to pray for a miracle that will bring her back home to us and her cat it is all I can do.

Some good news for those who have followed me for a few years my son the artist entered a contest and guess what he WON lol I needed good news :)  you can click on this link and read the article and see his winning entry.

Roses And Another Blizzard

Hi Everyone.  We have been flat out getting snow removed from roof on the house and the RV and the very old truck, my Dodge broken, sits under a very heavy load.  I was looking to have it towed by a local junk yard for cash but the place burnt down.  So I will wait.

I have that male wild turkey here and as I watched him get spooked by the wind he tried to fly over the barn but his judgment was off really off and he came down hard onto the snow packed roof of my barn/art studio.  It was not until I ran out to see if he was OK that I saw how much snow was still on the roof of the barn.  Here I had taken thousands of pounds of snow off the house but had thought the barn was Ok with it’s much steeper pitch.  I was wrong. There was over 3 feet deep snow on both sides of my barn.  Buildings were collapsing all over New England and if we did nothing I could loose everything.  Our roof rake was not long enough to do much here so I searched the local shops and found a $50 model 12 miles up the road so off we went.

I found a Blue Jay in the drive way when I came off the roof and set up an old Parakeet cage for it to get it warm and give it food and water
He watched me paint all day but sadly he either was so hurt inside or just to old to fight and I lost him.  Even though I was so sad having not gotten to see him fly off with the others, just outside the door, I am glad he had a peaceful day with us.

WP_20150210_14_30_34_Pro

He was so pretty

This winter is hard, see it came all at once, usually we get a system pass through drop some snow and leave us to clean up but this one all we do is remove, snow day in and day out even the wildlife are finding it hard to get by or get around in 3 to 4 foot deep snow.

I cleaned off the home with this newest tool and then him and I headed to the barn with JT coming along with her stick but she saw little action as we had so much snow to drop to the ground and then to move it all before it sat and became ice.

WP_20150210_09_36_24_Pro__highres

The snow is very high up on most of our windows

WP_20150210_12_57_31_Pro

Seriously we have had more than our share of snow and now a foot of more and then another storm on this weekend’s heals.  If you live on the other side of the Atlantic please let me know what happens to these fronts as they head out across our ocean and head for England, etc.

Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day

We will go see my mom in the hospital her knee surgery went great but during rehab her ACL let go, praying she will heal up and get her other knee done so she can be whole again.

I am so tired I have to sign off for now here is the art I was working on while caring for the wild bird.

Man We Had Been So Spoiled

The 60F Christmas is long past.  The frigid air of January blew in and on some days took my actual breath away.  Use the inhaler and breath into a scarf or a gloved hand BRRRRRR damn it is cold.

I had a wonderful Christmas with family after 9 years I saw a true miracle.  Feeling so blessed.

As I sit on this Sat. morning looking through your blog posts I am so cold and yes I have to coal stove going but it is doing little in this room where my desk sets time for a new window and take out that 30 year old plant window and place her into the barn on the east side.  I have it covered with plastic still to cold.  I paint in the room with heat source or my watercolors would freeze lol before they dry.  I could turn on the furnace run by propane but we paid almost $5 per gal. for it so I am trying to make it last.🙂 Wonder how they feel screwing us all for so many years now that our market has dropped lol you know what they say about pay back!

So how is everyone?  You cold or warm or just right🙂

I actually took a ride to the coast I must have been out of my mind.  It was -16F here and maybe 7F when I stepped out that afternoon at the beach.  I actually got to see Smoke On The Water as the warmth of the Atlantic Ocean met those nasty cold temps.  I was too cold to jump out for a photo at that moment though.  So here is a few from our day we got out of the house as all I seem to do these days is cook, clean and paint.

Filling The Gray Space With Color

Hi Everyone!

Surgery went OK and the patient came home the next day but has had a horrible headache since so we will see the doctor in a few hours to find out why.  Seeing the doctor 6 days before his appointment is not really a great sign but I would rather be safe then sorry.  OH wait it is HIM lol but he makes ME🙂

As you can see by my re-blogs here from my art blog I have stayed busy and upbeat since the last of the colored leaves are falling with this horrid wind.  I swear I will not complain too much with what I see just 6 hours west of me.

Trying to catch up little by little on all of your spots here in the blogosphere nice seeing what you are up to.

Will being having a Thanksgiving with Mom and my brother which has not been done for 10 years so you know I am happily planning on what goodies I can bring to the table to celebrate together seems just good enough for me.  Can we kiss and make up I pray that is in the cards.  The day for me will be all about giving thanks as it should be.

For all of you in the States and great sides you think maybe different but perfect for my first foray into the family fold again🙂
I will make my spicy Cranberry sauce for sure as we love a little heat as does my baby brother.

I have been a painting fool to say the least and add a few now and then into my online stores to be used as a print of phone skins and even baby clothes :)  you can follow my Facebook page at Folsom Mill Studio if you need to be flooded by color.

As the days get gray in color here and we wait for the first big dump of snow I will just add water and mix my colors well and fill the days with COLOR and good will for mankind.

Please take care of yourselves and those you adore.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving if I get busy and can not pop in before next week.

Heading out for some inspiration but wanted to share what I have been working on while I await my boyfriends surgery on the 14th.  Please say a little prayer he will come out of this OK  He has blocked Corroded arteries(neck) he doesn’t smoke but has type 2 diabetes and loves French Fries :(  I am hoping when he writes out his power of attorney to me as well as a will this week it becomes real and he changes his diet🙂

So I paint now to de-stress

Hugs and Love

Happy November!

Hi Everyone!  Our first snow is due to fall between tonight and Monday and they say the winds will be fierce at times🙂 maybe it will blow it off the roof!  Yes tis the season once again one day raking the next shoveling never a dull moment in New England.

We put the yard to bed.  Ran the mower out of gas and brought the snow blower up to shed closer to the house and stored the rakes for the garden hoes too and brought up snow shovels and ordered coal to keep us warm.  We use propane but they charge an arm and leg and it never keeps this place warm.

I cook and clean and seldom leave the house these days.  You know I love making things be it beaded pieces or glass items crocheting even but with painting it is sheer happiness.  Not a care or stress just wet and let it go🙂

Today I completed two pieces I had in different stages of completion and then whipped up a bunch of Abstract Watercolors I will sell for others to mat and frame and cheer up a spot on their wall or table or maybe even a piano!

I will share with you then add to my blog My Portfolio with sizes and prices.  It was a stress free first day of November here in NH as I hope it was with each of you.

Take care and thanks for looking I love feed back you know.

Son and Art in NYC Was Perfect

My son had his show in NYC  Curated by Peter Doig,  who by the way was so nice.  He likes Mike’s work with spray paint and that speaks volumes.  He is an Artist first so he gets what one puts into what they do,  you know the true passion for the medium in which you choose to create with.

Some other things happened yesterday about suppertime.  I walked in before even seeing Mike and introduced myself to his Mom you know the one I chose from the Couple Bio’s at the adoption agency.  To say she had no clue as to who I was is a understatement but as I said her name and reached my hand out and said my name the question on her face became a smile.

Two Mom’s meet for first time(he is 37 lol).  She then introduced me to her friend also an artist in her own right as well as a  dear family friend of theirs and then her husband,  Mike’s Dad and then came a chance to meet the daughter she had after adopting my son.  Then her son in law and two precious grandchildren.  She asked if Mike knew I was there and I assured her no,  that was the best part after not seeing him in five years and him being so close to us I had to come see him and his show.

Mike was down a hallway and as her and I began to walk towards him he looked up and was floored first by the fact I was there in person and second because both he and his Mom were side by side laughing.  We hugged and I leaned down to pat his sweet dog, who had also made the trip east while my little girl(JT) and her daddy were just steps away from all the action in our truck.  I had sent him in to let me know if my son had arrived yet and he came out and said boy had he changed since he had come to the house that day we first met,  he no longer looked like the man who had fathered him but now more like one of my brothers:) yes life is good!  So after we were done hugging I told him I was going outside so Ron could come in as JT was in the truck to which he replied “Let’s go!”  Now I felt bad as people were streaming in to look at Art and meet the Artist’s  and here he was looking to bail.  He hates shows,  he hates the spotlight on him though when asked questions I would swear he is at ease or maybe last night was different maybe by 2 worlds colliding because I was once enough brave enough to do what was right,  it helped him to smile.  I hope so and anything one can do for their child no matter how old they are you do right?  We talked and hugged and I met some of his friends as well.

We left home at 11 am and stopped in CT to see friends and let JT walk around and do her thing as we stretched out legs for the last leg of the trip.  The show was from 6 to 8 pm and we made it to the gallery at 5 and found a spot in the shade of the cities huge skyscrapers.  It was warm just 4+ hours from NH but nice.  I walked JT along the NYC streets for a change of pace as we had time to spare I hate being late to anything.

I would say the show was a success. As I said my goodbyes at 7:45 the place was packed.  People pumped on Art within the walls of White Columns Art Gallery on Horatio Street not far from the 9-11 Memorial, which many of you may have seen all over the TV the day before.  I had hoped to see the lights shining upward but they were not on when we got there even though night had fallen over this beautiful city, yes Boston is my home but NYC is a close second and even more special now.

Time for some lousy photos taken with phone inside the gallery should you fall in love with a piece and want to call it yours you can contact the gallery for details as I never thought to ask what the prices were.  He also does custom work so if you want to have something done by a Graffiti Artist and not on the side of your building, lol here is his email tierneypaints@yahoo.com.  Sorry for bragging but I do adore him and want him to be even more successful than even he can dream for himself.

Stunning work yes even if he was not my son :)

Stunning work,  yes even if he was not my son🙂

He loves adding flair to everyday objects :)

He loves adding flair to everyday objects🙂

Hoped you loved the sample of his latest work,  I know we all did.

Hi

Me again, yes the birth mom of a very smart and oh so talented guy.  He has put his nose to the grindstone as they say and has made a connection with a very important person in the art world.  Anyone who has seen what he can do with a spray can, will not be surprised that he is making it once again into the big time,  NEW YORK CITY.

He was there once for a charity auction, one painting on the wall making a huge statement and bringing in so much more money than he ever dared to dream.  They had to give him a exhibition :)  This one is being curated by a man by the name of Peter Doig have you heard of him and the records he set with the sale of a painting titled “White Canoe” never mind the rest of his body of work.  My hope is he is a good man with only Mike’s best interest at heart.  From what I have read about Mr. Doig  I am sure he will be in great hands but moms worry and most only want the very best for their child, don’t they.  So yes I am so very proud of him and all the years he has worked hard to get noticed and now he has made it to the ultimate place to be seen, NYC!

So if you are free on Friday,  September 12 and are in the neighborhood of White Columns Art Gallery please stop in for his Exhibit Opening from 6 to 8 pm.  I will add the link to gallery page for the dates his works of art will be shown with them.
I wish him the very best and a wonderful showing!  Yes he has had plenty out in JH WY with all of the friends and locals there but NYC and say London are the place to be!
Blow Their Minds Mike!

Pen and Ink with Watercolor

May 16 Already

Hi everyone! Can you believe it is already mid May I want to stop the clock now days are going to fast! I have had so many things going on as you know so I wanted to let you know things truly are a little better. Mom was removed from hospital and they found a bed in a rehabilitation place for her to get help with horrid pain and get her on her feet to recovery. Pain is a life changer if you have dealt with it you know what I mean some days you just don’t think life is worth living and we are grateful she now does. I have not really been close to my brother since Dad died he went his way in sadness and me in mine but on Mother’s Day we had a great one! He even snuck in our Mom’s cat which I swear was the turn around in her sadness that and we laughed together for 4 hours it really is the best medicine isn’t it.
I did not ask if I could make them famous with adding their photos here so I won’t but they are just what my heart needed. I am so blessed and grateful for all the prayers said.

The yard is coming back slowly but surly after one nasty winter. I have mowed one section the part down alongside the river twice already. The bears are causing a ruckus up and down the roads in the area I call home. The birds are full of the sweetest sounds. You can not help but feel joy when sounds of nature fill you head from sun up till sun down.

Why do I paint the house lol for them to move in I guess.  I am happy they love my place just wish they were not so messy🙂

Yes I am still taking photos but I have been painting up a storm as well, no surprise for you all I am sure🙂.
I received a message from a friend that she wanted to commission me for a piece of Artwork. I laughed and said “I am no artist” I am just chilling🙂 She insisted she wanted me to do a painting with just two trees with a lively background so I whipped out 2 watercolors for her to choose from. They are for her granddaughter’s 2 nd birthday she is creating an art collection for her. With each passing birthday she will acquire a work of art depicting the age she will be in the subject matter. This will not be an easy thing in my eyes to pull off after 5🙂 so this year being 2 she wanted two trees from me. I did them on 11×15 in the vertical way on 140lb paper. I will let you see.

Surgery was April Fool’s Day

The last day of March I was not allowed a midnight snack as I would finally go in to have the shoulder addressed.

April Fool’s Day no wonder I was moved up no one else wanted to take a chance I on the other hand was hoping for less pain and more use.

I had PT the next day yes real quick and tomorrow the stitches come out and more work twice a week for 6 to 8 weeks will begin in earnest.

I have a ice cuff I put on after exercises so I have no need for medication.

Life is good!

My son had another show last night in WY and I sat at home painting Roses he had Rose Art to sell and neither of us planned any of it I just decided to chill before surgery with a few hours of painting with a Artist from Russia that lives here locally in NH  her name is Marina Forbes.

So all is well just been doing nothing much at all really

Today the plan is to ride down into the city and meet one of the Bloggers I met when I first started mine here.  Maybe a quick lunch somewhere and my man can hunt the coastline and JT can meet one of her admirers🙂
I will stop by my Moms on way out of Boston as she just had a procedure the same day I did.

Love to all of you

What I did before surgery they did not turn out looking like the Rose in my course  but  I relaxed and that was my only mission in all that pain

ILLUSTRATING MY LIFE

I have enjoyed sharing about my illustration career. On this blog there are almost 2,000 images. This will be my last post as I am concentrating on writing a book based on my life entitled, “Music From Her Heart.”

I find the blog format fascinating, as my stories about my illustration career “unfolded” in their own way. I had no idea when I started writing my blog where it would go.

All of my stories, tips and information move forward from the first post. Therefore, because the blog’s format is backwards, this last entry has become the conclusion! However, because it is the “Home Page,” it is important for me to explain a few things that I have shared earlier in my blog. There are people reading this who have not seen anything else I’ve written.

I have already shared many of my “Portfolio Pieces,” but they have been…

Thanks to a fellow blogger, I was notified this morning that some blogger at WordPress is publishing my painting as her own on her blog.

I checked this out and could not believe my eyes: not only had she created a copy of this painting, but had a nerve to attach some kind of her signature to it, as well!

I published this painting on my blog last July:

http://inesepogagallery.com/2013/07/18/i-love-birds-and-natural-awakenings-publishes-my-painting-on-the-august-issue-cover/

and added it to my Fine Art America painting site:

I was preparing these paintings for a show, so I painted more on one sheet and later separated.

This is how I attached the finished paintings to wood panels, and they were ready to go to the art show:

I have set up a new blog where those who I follow and who follow me can post what they make.  Handcrafted items made by YOU.

Do a blog post and add it here and I will promote it in my stores and get the word out as well.

I know it has my bracelet on header but ideally once a week to have one of your photos run there would be fun too!

Email me at Eunice356@gmail and let me know if you make something you would like to have showcased and generate some sales on.  Once I add you as a contributor you can post or I can re-blog if you do a post on your blog.

Looking At Glass

Today I am looking at Fused Glass Geisha Diffuser/Bud Vases.

I am at High Point Fall Market and as with previous trips, I am in heaven.  Yesterday, I spotted these adorable Fused Glass Geisha Diffuser/Bud Vases at Global Views.  Actually, I forgot that I was in a showroom when I saw them and I may have squealed slightly a little bit loudly when I saw them.  Once again, proving my ability to act like a complete professional in public places.

There are 4 different Fused Glass Geishas.  Each one represents a different season; Summer, Spring, Winter, and Autumn.

dimensions: 4.5″L x 2.75″W x 9.5″H

I’ll share more High Point Market finds with you soon!

Working With Polymer

So Busy Doing Nothing At All

Do you have times in your life where you seem to be very busy but are really doing nothing at all.

How did my life get so simple?

I used to blog everyday.

I made Jewelry every week.

I walked the beaches all winter long and early summer mornings and captured the Sunrises along the Atlantic.

I went away in March and came back profoundly changed and at peace. So much so I don’t do much of anything really.

Yes I wake after 4 or 5 hours of sleep and have two cups of coffee, fresh ground. I eat a simple good for me breakfast as I answer emails play a game of words on Facebook all the while tossing a toy to JT. Then I wash up the few dishes sweep the floors and make the bed. I shower and get dressed and grab my camera JT grabs her Frisbee and off we go to walk the property. Playing catch and snapping photos. Not much plant wise happening here. so much rain, nutrient’s washed away and plants are stalled. I have yet to have the Monarchs show up good thing end of July and Butterfly Bush has yet to open as a way to welcome them here.

My food garden is sad. I have had two cucumbers, one tomato lots of basil and some lettuce. Tonight I snipped Dill for our Tuna fish sandwiches.
Corn is only just over my knee and I am short.

All those pretty shots you saw the last year have either rotted or refused to bloom so I have been busy with Dragonflies. They have been so willing too. I have them all on My Portfolio blog and re-blogged to 20 Lines or Living and Lovin. I am sure I will lose the bloggers I have on my list of followers but truly what should I write about. I have changed so much I hardly even know me.

I joined a Gym can you imagine. I am also in PT for left shoulder. I am still going to Weight Watchers though I do want to quit as I think I can save the $40 a week and do it on my own but then I think I need to get out of the house as winter will soon be arriving and all that damn shoveling once again so I need to be healthy.

With Meditation I have learned to relax but sadly I LIKE that A LOT!!!

So I will try to add some color and interest to this unexciting post the best I can.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This is one of the Garden Club Lilies in Bloom with a pretty insect .  That’s right when it is not raining I spend an hour with a water can watering all the clubs plants.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

After I pick fresh berries with the pup and her toy and my camera I make a plate with Greek Yogurt and delish berries.
Yes my kitchen had red counters hard to bounce the flash properly when hungry and tired and no tripod set up.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

He kept telling me to come get photos of the last clutch for the year, her third.  He then found a baby dead on the stairs below this nest.  Lousy photo as I did not want another to be lost and the next day the nest day was empty.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

As he worked in the back yard all spring and summer he got to watch them grow then fly away and she sat on more.  This is right over the entrance into the beautiful barn I have  in the back yard.  As someone would approach the Mom would bolt to the trees beside the barn and then he would make sure he always closed the door so she did not fly in and die inside while her little ones went without and would die as well.  He is learning to live as one with nature here for which I am very happy.

More later.  Tomorrow rain maybe I will play with my Polymer since the floors are clean, dishes done and I will not be WEEDING

Have a great night everyone

I need some SUNSHINE waiting on Sat.

Oil Pastels by Mary

Scarborough, Maine – Pine Point

A little story, if you don’t mind.  Pine Point holds a special place in my heart.  In the early 1990’s my husband and I moved to Maine, and because it was a new city and State we wanted to take some time to learn the area before we bought a home.   So we rented out a tiny place right on the point of a beach that intersected with a Jetty and the Atlantic Ocean, that we called “the love shack” (winter and spring months – the rent at that time was dirt cheap, then in the Summer the vacation crowd would come in and the rental rates would raise many times over).   Having never been acquainted to a beach area in off-season this was a real learning experience, more beach walks than I can count and sea breezes that range from ice-cold to Spring-time warmth that were fantastic.  This was an amazing place to live
