Winds were blowing around 25 mph maybe stronger gusts. We had been in the thick woods here. She and I were walking to lose weight and spend a beautiful December day at the lake. I am trying to throw a Frisbee while I take a photo as well.
I am not sure if she caught scent of a wild animal or if she was giving her Father “Dirty Looks” lol
We walked on and off slowly as I took photos here and there then a round of Frisbee along the shore of the lake while he metal detected in the water yes he was in a suit so as to not freeze.
I asked her if she had FUN today and this was her answer a pretty face then a kiss
I know you probably heard this before but I swear
I do adore her.
Peace and Love

Found on our walk in the woods out behind the barn yesterday
I hear there will be rain all around
I sure hope the clouds part by Sat. night
There will be a beautiful sight to behold
A Full Harvest Moon
So special drinks will be mixed and we will sit around
with friends and unwind. I hope you
all have a wonderful night and enjoy the Moon
Camping last summer will be like the Ritz, compared to our upcoming trip.
No RV this time, even the 76 will look good when compared to our tent.
We will be as comfortable as we can be at our age, even with aches and pains.
Air mattress will be great if we can get up come morning .
The dog, well she will love her time away, she will have lots of people to see.
This time the river will not be across the road from us but steps from the tents zipper.
There is a fire pit which will be welcome as the rains come and temps drop.
Looking forward to some hours away after all I have tried to do of late.
A few meals cooked over the fire and some tasty drinks with friends now that is how
I shall welcome Fall. So if you are someplace warm, enjoy your weekend. I will walk
along the river, capturing who knows what in my lens. You know you will see a few
Peace and Love to you all
I huff and puff all the way to the top
I stay as focused as my pup
When we reach the top I let her play as we catch our breath
It does feel good to push through the pain
Down 65 total so far
Boy what a mess I had gotten myself into
There is still ups and downs with pain
I have the diet down pat
If you can’t do anything it takes longer to see results
So I will push when I can rest when I can’t
It took 10 years to put it on
So if it is all gone in 3
I will be so pleased
Keep on keeping on what ever battle you face down the road
I know the wreck started this
I was not to blame but in the end I only
We went for a walk
He with the machine to hunt for lost items, his treasure.
Me with JT and the Easy Share.
JT and I walked one way he the other but I found something I knew would help him in his search.
A rope swing!
It is down on the left side of this river where when it is full it is close to the lake.
We stopped to tell him and he headed that way swinging his machine, picking up change
here and there till he got to the swing. He walked out to where the water would have been
and picked up two rings! He thanked me and said you are the Treasure Hunter .
No I just see things random people don’t, maybe all those years driving a rig made this
blonde sit up and PAY ATTENTION . He got a lot of cash even at a place that rips
you off, Cash for Gold as they say, so we filled up the tank to be ready for the next
adventure. This one was right out behind the house less than a gallon to and from
that is perfect when it happens.
Keep your eyes open for treasure you might other wise miss.
from when I first joined WP
I was sure of it!
I still grabbed the leash.
JT sat in front of me, she loves this new thing
We take off, even though the skies are looking crazy bad here in the mountains.
I put the phone and camera in a bag, I was certain we would be caught in a downpour.
We were not.
We reached the top of an enormous hill and it was still.
I could hear my heart beating from the steep climb
JT was having a blast chasing her stick.
I was having fun capturing some pretty shots of the sky and flowers, that waited for us at the top.
Life is GOOD, the trek back is all DOWNHILL!
poem well sort of 🙂
We hit a local stream in upstate Vermont, with Gold on our
mind and a place to cool off the pup, on a hot summer day.
We made our way to the river with friends and it was so
peaceful there, under the trees. Their two sons taught our
Border Collie how to swim. I know she should have known but
she is a Herder not a Lab. In large fields full of Sheep, they do not
get many chance to play in water.
So with the children having fun, I took off with my camera.
I came upon a very old truck that someone had decided was much too much
trouble to have it pulled out of the woods. Wonder why it was there.
This is the first shot I took from the river.
The floorboards did not stop this tree from coming up through and growing into
a real beauty, even with this mess of twisted metal all around her.
They made cars and trucks back then to last but something tells me this tree will be
left standing when this old truck has just about rusted away.
I got back to the waterfall area where everyone was swimming and having fun, and I was
greeted by my happy, wet dog. She had a blast while I was exploring.
I love our times out in the woods and water together .
Can you tell what year and model this thing is, rusting out in the woods of Vermont?
She appears to be so brave , as we go on a walk she takes the lead.
Let some thunder roll or gun shots sound, she becomes very unsure.
She is brave this little one we love. Tough as nails for what she has gone through.
Maybe she just needs reassurance all will be OK , as noises she hates begins.
Tonight’s storms here were not violent, like some that passed to our south.
Tonight we played and played
Tomorrow till storms roll through, we will walk and play some more.
Enjoy your Sunday or Maybe is it Monday
We took a hike in the local State Park.
The dog and I took the lead, while he swung his metal detector.
I came around a corner and saw this through the trees. I thought it was
a beautiful piece of the past. The home it had kept warm was long
since gone, trees grew where it once was. Now I am left wondering
who was it that used to live in these woods , out behind the area I call home and will
my place be reduced to just a chimney someday as well. I hope not, this place I call
home is in such a pretty spot, then again this one is too.
History took place here. We are apart of the original 13 Colonies. Battles were fought and won.
We love looking in this type of area for signs left from those times. They did not have a lot in those days
by our standards but they were rich in so much more. It was not easy for them to come to a new
country. They did it though and this to me is all the proof I need.
A young man looses his high school ring at the beach.
My treasure hunter finds it.
I do some investigating to locate the owner.
We are able to see him put it back on his hand where it belongs!
